RIBBING AND RUNES is a standalone read with a very happy ending. There are no sexy scenes or colorful language. Any age can read and enjoy. It is a cozy mystery so always a murder to solve but also fun and entertaining. In this story Lucy and Rafe are planning their big wedding. Everyone, witch or vampire, wants to have a say in what the wedding is going to encompass. Lucy wants a small family and friends affair at Rafe's big estate. Things are not going her way.Trying to keep the shop going, keep her gran out of sight and trouble, and plan a wedding. It is almost too much. She has William, Rafe's butler and man Friday to do all the food so that is a weight off her shoulders. But to top things off her parents show up 2 weeks early and she is not sure what she is going to do with them. They have never been real close. Always on a dig in some foreign country they pretty much left Lucy to her Gran's care. Now it seems her mother wants to have a big wedding for her only daughter. She wants a big hen party, Lucy doesn't want the traditional party for the bride's last big hooray as a single lady.Rafe pretty much wants what Lucy wants so he plays the peacemaker trying to give everyone what they want but keeping Lucy happy. Lochlan Belfore has arrived from Ireland to be the best man.Things are typical for most big weddings until someone is trying to kill Lucy. Lucy is wondering since her mother is in town, and is a witch but won't acknowledge it, if this is the big evil thing that is suppose to be coming. Then her least favorite witch, the head of their coven shows up and informs Lucy she will perform the wedding ceremony. Not Lucy's first choice but it seems she really has no choice. Things are really getting out of hand.There is the problem of Rafe never aging and Lucy will get older and eventually die. She could become a vampire but she really doesn't want to. She likes to eat too much to give it up. However, another witch has promised a cream that will keep Lucy looking young without turning her. Lucy is considering that and all of the ramifications.What about the killing of Lucy? Who is it? and Why would they want to kill Lucy? The Vampire Knitting Club is on the hunt. They are determined to help solve the mystery. And then the ending. The best ever. I think we have all been waiting for this big event. It is the sweetest and Rafe gets his every wish. I loved this story and highly recommend it. This whole series has been a big hit and this is the book to top them all.I was not paid for this review. I am not a writer nor do I know one. So, I’m not gonna tell you what this next book Ribbing and Runes is about, because for one you can find it in the summary, but I’m gonna tell you this: This next book, in this absolutely fabulous series is just beyond words! Devoted readers will know, it is the one we have been waiting for!!!Every time I read the next book in the Vampire Knitting series, I think, this is the best one yet! But apparently I have thought that after every next book in this series! Not only did it make me feel like I wanted more of it, (So in all honesty, yes it is addictive!) but it also never gets dull! I would say on the contrary, it only gets better!So in my opinion, an author is truly successful in what she does with her series when you can create this sensation for your readers! I don’t know how Nancy Warren does it, and this is not only with the Vampire Knitting series of hers but all the others she wrote, but she is quite successful in writing feel good mysteries you wished you where part of, with characters you wished you knew in real life and at the same time you feel part of by just reading them!So my advice: You want to read something good, something that will take your mind off of everything and leave you with a relaxed and content feeling? Read Nancy Warren’s books! They are a true delight and pleasure for the cosy mystery reader and be warned, also very addictive!
